Description

Leicester Longwool fleece is lovely to work with. I wash it before I start, and although there may be quite a bit of lanolin (especially around the armpits!) it washes out to a lovely white lustrous fibre The fleece has a definate wave to it, is easy to spin, and you finish with a dense lustrous yarn. It needle felts well and is also good for wet felting. It might look as though it is very matted, but the photos show two locks, then teased out - this is even easier to do once it is washed.

V.M.
Some VM - mostly bigger pieces of hedge rather than smaller bits of hay so not too bad to get out. There is no fecal material on this fleece, although it looks dirty, with soaking in warm water and washing up liquid, it will transform to a lovely creamy white.
Notes
there might be some faint raddle marks, although these should wash out easily. It takes a bit of preparation, but is worth the work.
